Between the mountains and the sea
Located near the sea and the Cantabrian mountain range, Bilbao´s surroundings are full of contrasts and posssibilities. On one hand, a short Metro ride can take us to a large number of beaches, where the bilbaínos stroll or play sports all year round. On the other, the countryside is very close, offering nature reserves and parks. In both areas, the visitor will find historical villages, ancient traditions, and tranquil and enjoyable sights. These surroundings are an appealing contrast to Bilbao´s urban character.
