Bilbao has numerous bars and clubs all over the city, however many of them
are clustered around the following areas:
Casco Viejo
A large variety of clubs and bars, catering to a younger crowd.
Closing time: around 3 AM
Bilbao la Vieja
A good mix of people come to the bars located on the south bank of the river,
including several gay clubs and bars. Some of the clubs organize matinees.
Closing time: around 6:30 AM
Centro-Indautxu
Among the many bars of this area, we can mention Galerías Urquijo,
an arcade with a high concentration of music bars for the younger crowd, and
those in the Calle Ayala area, for the 30+. In the same district but catering
to a different crowd, the bars in Licenciado Poza come alive on match days.
Closing time: around 4:30 AM
Ensanche-Mazarredo
Although also offering a good variety of ambiences, this area tends to have
a slightly older crowd.
Closing time: around 6:00 AM

Congreso
With the latest music, this club brings together a mixed clientele. It often
holds live acts, drag queens and guest dj´s.
