Areas
There are plenty of bars around Bilbao offering pintxos, but the most popular areas are: Las Siete Calles (Casco Viejo) and La Plaza Nueva (a large square in the Old Town), Ledesma Street (in Abando) and San Mamés-Pozas area (in Indautxu).


San Mamés-Pozas
The area is especially busy on match days, due to its proximity to San Mamés football stadium. Most bars can be found is Licenciado Poza street.

Ledesma
Ledesma and adjacent srtreets Colón de Larreátegui and Ibáñez de Bilbao, are also a very good option, as the visitor wil find the most traditional bars in town.

The Old Town
The “txikiteros” – groups of friends doing the bar rounds – are a common sight in this area. The largest concentration of bars occurr in the Plaza Nueva, and the streets Santa María, Perro, and Jardines.
